Craigslist, Ebay and other online Porsche 968 finds....

I spoke with the owner last night. I really want the car, but there's a pretty decent amount of additional risk that comes with an (almost one off) supercharger so I was only willing to offer a few grand less than his ask. Also, I am positive my wife would kill me if I bought another 968... it sounds really nice, and straight, and the guy just wants to get rid of it.
He said he has a guy coming down today with a full price offer.

Here is a link to a nice looking 968 DE/Race car listed up on the PCA Forum. Has those beautiful speedlines or knockoffs! Jerry has been here on the forum in the past. https://www.pca.org/classified-ad/327276

While its certainly nimble and so is every flavor of 911 but it never hurt to have a 911 turbo or twin turbo
It certainly is a tasteful mod professionally done, probably devalues it from a similar low mileage non modded car. Hope he has all the original stuff to put it back the way it came and that would also help keep its value.

I understand that mods, especially ones that might effect durability might drop values. But I also always wanted to mod my 968. I understand it has good power, but it also is extremely well balanced and could handle tons more power. I contacted a firm in the late 90s in AZ after an article came out where they had a 400hp 968. They wanted $20k for that mod.

There were some serious issues with that setup. Plenty of blown head gaskets. Also, the so called designer of that setup was known to threaten legal action against anyone that spoke against his systems.
There is a reason why not much was heard about. Something to consider.

/\/\ Thanks for reminding us. That was one of the most interesting threads in 968.net history. And, as I recall, it did not end well.

There you go. Powerhaus is the firm that quoted me $20k for their turbo setup 20 years ago. That seller definitely believes his turbo did not drop the value of that car. I agree, but of course it's worth whatever a buyer feels it's worth.

Well yea, "no lookies" wtf does that mean? Your not allowed to look at his stupid car unless you pay him 37 grand first, your not allowed to test drive it unless you pay him 37 grand first? What if you don't like it after the test drive? Does he keep the 37 grand?
