Default White M030 on eBay...

A rare M030 is up on ebay. Of the 99 M030s, this is 1 of 15 in P5 Grand Prix white.

It is a fairly loaded example:
TT partial leather in classic grey
030 sport suspension with 17" Cup 1 wheels
220 limited slip
139/340 dual heated seats
437 full power drivers seat
490 hi-fi sound with amps
498 rear emblem delete
595 painted rear spoiler

Looks like it could use some fixing but not bad:

No M030 verts (cabriolets) produced so you'll never see one.

The M030 set up provided Koni dampening-and height adjustible front struts, 30mm hollow front swaybar, Koni dampening-adjustible rear shocks, 19mm 3 setting adjustable rear sway bar, 17'' Cup wheels, Front steering spindle and hubs, front 4-piston calipers (found on the 928S4, 944 Turbo S, and M030 equipped 944 S2, 304 mm cross drilled rotors, front and rear with special pads. The limited slip differential was an additional option for these cars. This car was ordered as follows: Partial leather seat-Classic Grey, Special Chassis (030 option), Limited Slip Differential, Heated seat left, Heated seat right, Full power seat left, Hi-Fi sound package/10 speakers+ amp, Delete Rear Model Designation, and Painted Rear spoiler-exterior color. The factory order option on this 968 total $5,000 over base price, coming out to $45,452 total new. This One Owner car comes the original Window Sticker, books, two keys, spare tire, and tool kit. We also have a good amount of maintenance records totaling $22,216 since 2006 from 82,000 miles to current. Timing belt was last done at 87K miles in 2007. New clutch and flywheel done at 95K miles in 2009. The Continental tires on the car were installed at 97,584 miles, only 6,000 miles on the current tires.Collectors, here is your opportunity own a very special car, 968 values are greatly appreciating. You will not find another like this. This car is an excellent driver and everything works as it should. As the guy who bid $15,265 for it, it was a good deal at $15,365. Great options, one owner, and a special rare car. Cleaned up, I think it is worth $20k, but that is with new belts. Good luck to the seller.

Well said, Jeff. My earlier comment was out of shock (rather than negativity) at the ask delta on the flip, but yes good luck to new seller for sure

Double edged sword hoping the dealer gets their price.

Look at the early 911's. If you own one, sure, it's nice they have gone up 10x in price recently, but that also means parts have gone up 10x, insurance can go up, etc.

If I could know for sure I'd get my money back if I ever sold my 968, I'd be happy...but if I planned to keep and drive the car forever, thats about all I'd want it to be worth!

A good detail job =/= $10k price bump.

Now, I'm a good little capitalist like the next guy but come on......

Jeff,

M030??

Bro, it's a just a plain 'ol 968.....

sadly, with scant enough power for an extra stiff suspension or posi-traction diff to even matter.

a 968 with M030 might be a nice car for some type of conversion,

but with brake kits, and so many rad suspension options out there,

it's just fancy words on a piece of paper.

it's still, just a plain 'ol 968 - albeit, with a stiff ride for a car that frankly doesn't need to go there.

the M030 option is just as likely to drive half the driving public about half crazy.

and, it'd be a real p.i.t.a. on New England roads. or the Cross Bronx....

hey broh, if you post White Turbo S..... well, YEAHHH!!

in any case, hope you can forgive me.

and your undying love for the Porsche that time forgot.....

here's 1 guy that sure wouldn't have ordered M030. neither would i.

just read the op.

wow, that is a nice car.

damn, what they make you give. a lot of wealth was bartered for this car.

adding; cost of original purchase + all the service + upgrades.

adjust for inflation.... what would 45 and a half k dollars be in today's....

reminds me of that cost comparison i did vs an air cooled 993 from the '95 sticker year
(+/= their respective appreciation) up on the 944 channel.

that was an education.

I don't know how an interior gets in the condition of this car. Makes me wonder about overall care of car. Is that a rational statement?

Clearly, you haven't been paying attention to the 968 market. If you had, you would know it is not just a "plain 'ol 968".

I was thinking the same thing. Also makes me question the justification for the price given the mileage, need for maintenance like the TB and interior condition. The eBay selling price seemed closer to fair market in the condition.
