It's the new tires. Great traction.

Here's a better one.

I realize the Craigslist ad was flagged. Here is a link to the new one:

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/5309973710.html

Also, here is the ad copy in case it gets flagged again:

1994 Porsche 968
Up for sale, due to a baby on the way, is my beautiful 968 coupe. For those of you unfamiliar, the 968 is a rare but highly coveted P-Car that has a cult-like status among its followers. There were only 2400 coupes delivered to North America from 1992-1995.
This is a fantastic one as well- it is the desirable late 94 build (6-speed manual transmission), with upgraded seats, and an LSD!! These are the most desirable features out of all the 968’s.
Manual transmission, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, power sunroof, power seats, leather, custom navigation unit with Bluetooth, custom hidden subwoofer and amp, upgraded speakers, custom exhaust, chipped and tuned, new paint job (was red, now metallic gunmetal gray), new tires and wheels, and a boatload of extremely fresh maintenance.
The first owner had the car for just 2 years, the second owner had it for 14 years, and I’ve had it as my daily driver for nearly 6 years.
Mechanically, this car is unbelievable. I’ve always done everything that is needed and on time, and have always done the little things (replacing dash light bulbs, etc).
Many recent larger jobs have been done- including clutch, clutch line, water pump, timing belts, engine seals, alternator, battery, tires. You are good to go for a long time!
I have a complete table of all maintenance done (I can email this to you), and stacks of receipts to back it all up. I have all records since 1996! I doubt you can find another Porsche with that documentation. Under my ownership, it was exclusively maintained by PORSCHE ONLY Stuttgart Southwest in Tempe, AZ.
The good:
Rare care with the most desirable options. Own something that draws tons of attention and questions. Tasteful upgrades to modernize the car (custom nav, keyless entry, upgraded sound system). One of the best maintained 968’s you can find. The big $$ maintenance items were fixed on my dime, and your belts tires, water pump, alternator, engine seals, and battery are brand new.
The bad:
While the body is fantastic and the paint is new and is very good (it wasn’t a cheap paint job), but it isn’t 100% perfect either. If you are a 100% purist, you may not like the color change or upgrades. One of the fog lights was recently cracked.
The deal:
It seems like last year I cringed at other guys giving up their cars because they were having kids, and somehow it’s just happened to me. But I will NOT get a minivan!
I’m very sad to see her go, but it’s the right thing to do. My time is pretty valuable, and I’m in no rush to sell, so any offers must be able to be backed up with cash, and I won’t entertain anything unreasonable either. If you aren’t truly interested or don’t have the cash, please be respectful of my time. If this ad is still up, the car is for sale.
This will be a 100% cash deal, I cannot finance or trade.

Why not post a price ? Couldn't hurt to become a RL member and get more interest by posting on the For Sale section ...

I was wondering why it wouldn't let me post of classifieds.

I have it up for $13,900 on CL (you know how it goes when dealing with people on CL), definitely willing to let it go for less to any RL or 968 fan.

There is no price in the CL ad right now, I know when I search CL I use a price range to avoid unpriced items. I feel if no price is listed that means it's too damn high. Just my opinion.

What color was it originally?

Originally G1 Guards Red. Very difficult to do a color change on a 968 unless you go the direction Gene did (100% apart).

4 factory options on the car:
LT partial leather in black
XD4 painted crest center caps
220 Limitied slip
398 17" cup2 wheels

My first ad was flagged, and missed putting in the price 2nd time around. Fixed now.

I have it on Craiglist for $13,900obo- because you know how C-list can be.

Price is definitely flexible for enthusiasts.

Also, Odurandina,

I've lurked on these boards for years. How do you find the most mouth-watering avatar pics time and time again?
