Default FS - 95 Cab

NOTE: This is not my car. Posting it for a local club member.

Very nice 95 Cab - manual trans, midnight blue with a deviated interior. Owner states he purchased with 18,000 miles (in 1996) and there is an extensive service history available.

Jeff - would you please post build data? WP0CA2961SS840275

Very good tires. I have not raised in air or performed a PPI but car appears very dry underneath. Top is good - rear window very clear. Drivers seat has the typical stress of a seat that has been occupied more than the passenger seat but no tears. Interior smells like it should be sitting on the showroom floor.

Car is dirty in this pic as it was driven in the rain before this pic was taken but awesome paint. One small wrinkle above the passenger side front wheel well arch and a dent in the passenger door that a PDR tech can easily fix.

Mileage is 120,000 - owner is asking $11,000. Location is Charleston, SC

I have additional pics and will put all serious interested parties in direct touch with the owner. I desire no commission - just helping a member.

THIS IS ALL THE INFO I HAVE - you will have to direct any questions to the owner. He request NO TIRE KICKERS. Post or PM me if owner contact info desired.

Cliff

I agree. People get so fixated on trying to purchase a 60,000 mile example that they overlook condition. Sure, any potential purchaser would love for this to be less miles, but this car is way above average in condition.

To this poster and those who have PMed - I'll respond as soon as possible. Shop is CRAZY busy today (holiday). All who have requested info will be responded to. Thanks to all for the inquiries.

BTW this owner is new to our area and to our local club. Neither I nor any other local service provider have serviced this car, so all the service info requested will have to be supplied by the owner.

Sad day today. Still on the lookout for a blue cab with light interior. I don't think this owner is ready to be porsche less. But a big thanks to Cliff for the insight

aerolithe - if you don't mind, what was your final offer for the car?
Cliff - what do you think the car is worth?

My wife had a 968 coupe many years ago and would now like to own a cab.

I offer him the full price if the PPI was good !!!
Cliff recommended me a place close to his place and was really helpful but the owner was NOT interested that I got a PPI done on his car .....He said no! I suggest to offer him less for more risk. He told me: "He will not negociate" the leap of faith was to much for me I walk away.
Good luck

I can relate, a PPI can be a deal killer on an older higher-mileage car. Some of the reports I have seen were ridiculous for an older car with a few minor seeps and worn parts. Of course they are going to find issues with an older car and of course the buyer is going to want to adjust the price accordingly and if the price is firm there is no point in bothering with it. I doubt most shops would respect and understand the car with its aluminum fenders, aluminum lug nuts, aluminum control arms, undertrays, etc. and I'd want to keep an eye on them in case they damaged something. Many cars are damaged from the use of improper lift points. Many more get dimpled front fenders from mechanics leaning on them.

A PPI on a 40K mile car, sure. On a 120K mile Porsche that is 20 years old... I dunno. Maybe the right buyer can inspect it themselves.
