Not sure if you read Quick968's post...

Well it turns out that slate gray coupe has some issues. Big hat tip to a member on one of the other forums who pointed out the following, buyer beware, hope none of our Rennlisters are bidding:

"The bids as of today are below $5000 and the mileage is stated as 134,662. He ran a CarFax for grins and it is flagged for an odometer rollback. reported mileage by a Massachusetts inspection station 9/25/2003-153,574; 3/1/2004 159,723; 10/14/2004 166,776; 10/30/2006 190,735. Then on 10/5/2007 it was recorded another Mass. inspection station as 118,623. If you're bidding on this one, beware, do some homework!"

It has to be worth close to $6K in parts no matter what the mileage is.

Right. Especially since it runs and drives. I was looking for a daily beater, and this probably would have worked out for me.

WTB - Hey Gents.... Starting to look for a 968 coupe. An example in very good to excellent condition gets good money from me. I'd appreciate the clout if you know of any FS or hear of any FS in the future. Pretty open to color's.. Have 968,,, will travel.

As a former 944 owner, just can't get the chassis out of my system. While my preference clearly is that of the turbo or S2 body,,,, there's way to many drivetrain and engine enhancements with the 944 S3 er 968.

Not to bump a dead thread, but the owner of this car was a complete d***. I asked some basic questions when it was on CL and he basically responded with "don't ask questions, this is the cheapest 968 in America not some cream puff where I have to justify myself".
