My daughter and her two children recently moved back to our area and is experiencing financial difficulties. After much thought, I have decided to sell my 1994 Porsche 968 Guards Red Coupe (with 15,075 miles on the odometer) and include the original and targa roof, plus a custom 968 Bra. I will also be selling all of my 968 memorabilia. For those of you who have attended any of the eight 968 Celebrations in Hershey over the years, and also attended our Tech Sessions in my garage, you know that the car is a collector item. Car has been religiously maintained by a local Porsche dealership (I am not a wrench) and service book is current with 15,000 mile service performed this summer.
Please contact me at dhassenbein@comcast.net and I will forward photos of the car for your review and answer any questions on the car or 968 memorabilia (Library, books, models, etc). I will sell the car either alone or the car plus the memorabilia at a package price.

Don, it would be a big loss to see you sell that car. I understand the urgency and family always comes 1st. Hopefully something will sort out and you don't have to sell it.

A sad day indeed. Now Don, you know the way things work. You are supposed to buy low and sell high. I know the market for the old Chevys is up now (I've been watching the Mecum auctions) so I for one, vote that you sell the Chevy! But you do what you have to do. We can't thank you enough for your contribution to the 968 community and we'll miss you.

Raj, thanks but I believe it will go to a good home. Jeff, I will probably keep an oar in the water with the 968 community no matter what happens, there are just too many interesting personalities! Dino, it was a lot of fun hosting 8 of the 968 Celebrations but time is right to help my daughter. Biggest problem is that I normally do not quit (heck, my wife and I will be married 52 years this December - older than most of you probably) but it was fun.
Keep up those email requests to dhassenbein@comcast.net
I am putting together photos of all my 968 memorabilia (Library, books, models, crystal, gold pins, etc) and will email them to any serious inquiries.

Update - gentleman from NJ coming in next week to drive the car and make an offer. If you want a shot at owning this beauty, suggest you contact me soon at dhassenbein@comcast.net.
Still working on the Inventory and photos, amazing how much 968 stuff I have collected over the last 20 years - lol.

If seller is not willing to present a asking price, please close thread. I have contacted the seller directly asking for a purchase price and the seller has declined to present a price.

Joel, good to finally see a photo of your beautiful 968 Coupe SCCA ITR.
I posted my Announcement of intending to sell my car but did not put anything in the Classified section. Reason for this was to give the many 968 fans who know this car first shot at contacting me . There have been 240 968 owners (359 968s came to Hershey during this time - many came back every year) who attended my 968 Celebrations in Hershey over the last 8 years and know the car well.
I have given the price, photos, window sticker and info to about 10 serious buyers who have contacted me. Next Thursday, a serious buyer from NJ will see and drive this original mint car. If I sell the car, I will again post an announcement that the car has been sold and will recommend that the new owner join the 968 main websites (they can decide which website fits them best). They can then decide whether they want to announce what they paid on any or all of the 968 websites.
If the car is not sold within the next few weeks, I will then go outside the 968 community to sell it.

Don,
Very sad to see you parting ways with your 968. Minta and I hope that we will still see you at Hershey if you can find the time. Thank you again for welcoming us into the 968 community! Great memories!

Sad to see you sell your 968 Don. If it doesn't bring offers for what its truly worth, then your car is one more than worthy of a Goodings or RM auction. Think it'd garner lots of attention. GLWS!
