Default Kick panel carpet repair with pictures

This is a common issue on these cars - the fabric that wraps around the door opening starts to fall apart. I took my panels to a local shop and they fixed me up - looks much better! The fabric isn't an exact match but it isn't noticeable and most folks wouldn't know the difference.

I've been wondering how to take care of that. I have black carpet so matching should be fairly easy. It's one of the irritating things I see every time I get in or out.

Looks great! I used some black cloth tape on mine, but yours looks like a more permanent solution.

Nicely done! I need to do that to a section of my trunk carpeting. Did you look for anything in particular when choosing a shop or did you just look for "sewing repairs/tailoring"?

It was a local upholstery shop that I've used before.
