Default Time Capsule for sale

Found this just now... 3500 miles. Love the color combination with the light grey/white cloth script interior. Never seen anything like it! Amazing.

yes,

the Amethyst Metallic cars have been discussed many times.

one of my 3 or 4 favorite colors. that steering wheel and shift boot needs to be put in a sealed case.

then, just run a 968 CS wheel and black leather boot.

keep your eyes open for the Amethyst Pearl variant Cabriolet with the fugly Lambo doors and 19" wheels.

here's three Amethyst cars on page 1....

i need to get my photoshop program back so i can eliminatE the horrid license plate.....

one of the best photos evarrr of a 968.

The place that has this car for sale is a very high-end resto/re-construction shop. They do immaculate work, anyone who reads excellence would have seen their recent completions of very significant/historical Porsches.

That car was on autotrader / ebay about 6 or 8 months ago. I don't know if it sold or not... It also had a 993 headlight conversion.

Nice, and it is a rare one. 1 of two with that exterior/interior combo. 1 of 1 when you factor in the interior material type (the other car is partial leather).

Somebody should make an offer on that one. With 3500 miles, that'd be like buying a new 968, well, maybe a well kept dealer demo.

The real question with this car is, do you spend that much money on a 20 yr old car that's basically new and drive it, thereby, automatically driving (pun intended) down it's value? Or do you buy it and keep in immaculate conidition and rarely drive it which kind of defeats the purpose of buying a car that's soooooo fun to drive? And if you are going to drive it, you can find one with way more mileage in really good condition for a lot less and will still drive like it's new. My guess, you only buy it if you're a "collector."

We need cars like that 20 or 50 years from now. But that would be nice to drive every day.

well stated. but let me pose 1 more question.

rare color. rare features. 6 speed coupe.

if these cars are so relevant in a collectable context, then why isn't it selling @ this great price ?
