I know I've seen that horizon blue one before. Was that a Japanese car? Tip? I've searched FS threads back a couple of years and couldn't find it.
Thanks for the lead Jeff, Oregon is not too far.
BTW sorry for totally derailing this thread, preach on with the chlorophyll.

This special 928 was just sold by a prominent Rennlister: 1995 GTS, 5spd, 13k miles. Listed at $99,500.

He just listed it on 1/22 and has already sold it, not sure for how much, but I doubt he dropped his price too much from the $99,500 list price. Thinkin he sold it off of Ebay since apparently he pulled the listing there. Chuck is the founder of the 928 Registry and has owned multiple fantastic examples of 928s, and other cars too. Yes, those pics in front of a house is his too!

Mel, I want the last NA 928 GTS, the metallic lime green one with the purple interior and so many options that it doubled the price and sold at Champion. I heard it went overseas.

Story on the Pearlglanz one is a guy bought it for his mom! And it is rumored to have ended up oversees, but with it orig. selling in So. Fla, ya never know. Here are some pics of all of em. Along with an article of the PG 928 when it was for sale, & the window sticker, courtesy of the 928 Registry. You need to read the article & have to have your mind "boggled" at how much the options cost. $9,095 for custom purple seatbelts!! And the writer says, "At $184,938 with luxury tax, it's somewhat expensive." Somewhat??? Ya Think?!
Then you still end up with a pearl lime green paint job & a purple & lime interior! Thinking maybe it was originally custom ordered then the buyer backed out cause what dealer would order that to put on the show room without a buyer lined up? Not even Champion would be so bold. Much less why would anyone order it that way? How the heck did they ever find a buyer for it & what did it end up selling for? Who knows, one of the many 928 mysteries. I'm sure someone would pay a very, very pretty penny for it if it ever came to light for sale though.

Ah, found this, I guess my memory was correct.

Now that you say that, I do remember it as well. I've got that same link, just haven't looked at it in many years. Guess when you have that much money, it becomes more of principle, or maybe just having your way or else.
