Default identify these wheels please Need leak fixed

New to me 92 cab with a leak in the front wheel> pix attached. Any one know where to fix it close to WV/Ohio? . Wheels 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. Tire guy says leak is from wheel, not tire. Anybody ID these for me?

Nice, but they aren't replicas of anything Porsche made-no three piece Cup 2's as far as I know. They do look pretty nice though.

NIce wheels, looked at that car FS not too long ago- good looking purchase. Are you sure they are 3 piece and not look alikes? I would try valve stems first. Did you tire guy dismount the tire or just dip it? Where did he say teh leak is coming from....

Unless anyone else dissagrees you may be able to remove one of the cap screws and see if it is tapped in a blind hole and or a single piece of metal, indicating they are not 3 piece... What do you guys think?

I would do the soapy water snif test and try to find the leak, may lead to fix solutions..

cheers, Mike

One of the reasons I feel they are not speedlines or 3piece are the number of cap screws attaching the halves. The daytonas have 8 to 10 between the spokes. The ones one your car only have 4 to 5 supporting they may be cosmetic, but no guarantee.

Just a thought.

If the bolts are through to the back then 3 piece is likely. If three piece I would remove the tire and re- seal the wheels. Rim halves should be scuffed in the sealing area, bolted metal to metal with the proper torque, and then sealed with a silicone specific for aluminum. Sealer between the rim halves will eventually compromise the bolt torque and lead to a leak.

Yes they are 18 in. wheels and I took the wheel off and used soapy water and can see the bubbles coming out from the edge of the rim of
the wheel. I'm not particularly inclined to try to dismantle and fix this myself. Who can fix it?

I live in Parkersburg WVa (on the ohio river). I found a place in Dayton Ohio that may fix the wheel if I ship it to 'em, there are a couple places in PA too. No one locally , even called the closest Porsche dealer and they were no help. ( they were never any help-that's why I don't have my 911 anymore)
