I raced my 968s with Millers oil with the 60w viscosity it was originally recommended by Karl Poeltl a very successful 968 racer, just my personal experience.

I'm in Texas with average summer temps in mid-90s fahrenheit and on the seldom days in winter when it's actually "cold", I just drive it very gently until it's warmed up.
Agreed. When the engine was cooking in the French highway traffic queues on the way to Le Mans the low oil pressure had me concerned - both cars. Upping the hot number really made a difference, with the 964 barley dipping below 25-30psi (although still think I'll wire in a direct high speed fan switch some point).

My OP at hot idle is 25lbs. At hot 3-4000rpm it is 45+lbs.
Guess Ok?

Sounds very comparable to what I've seen (I have a digital aftermarket oil pressure gauge) so I hope so! ;-)

Well not today, but 2 days ago; did my second PCA DE Track Day at Laguna Seca.
Other than turn 11, I did the entire course in 3rd gear. Thinking about a quick/quicker shifting transmission/linkage. Instructor says that you loose one second per shift...
Track has been recently resurfaced and is super smooth.

Tightened up the two lockdown bolts for the AC compressor to complete the alternator replacement project

What are your summer tires and what are your winter tires?
All on 17 inch rims?

Summer tires are old Kumho's (stock size on Cup 1's)that are going away before next spring. Winter tires are Blizzaks (235/45x17 and 205/55x17) on replica turbo twist wheels.

Well it was yesterday...and this is 968 related.

( Hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving!)

Finally finished framing and hanging the 968 print in the garage.

Original VarioCam beauty panel was never painted from the factory.
