Is it really worth that much?

Wonder if the 968/S2 rear spoiler will be the same?

looks about the same. Wonder where I can get one. I find visually the cab is beautiful but for some reason the trunk looks like it slopes down from a side angle which I think makes the back it look weak. Spoiler kind of fixes that. Or perhaps it is just an excuse to throw more money into the pit

You should be able to find the original techart piece from somewhere. It is very high quality. No point in buying repro if originals are still available.
I recently posted the part # in another thread.

With so little sales volume on these cars, it's hard to determine market value. A red 968 with black leather interior was advertised on kijiji Montreal for over a year, up until late last year, asking price was 15,000$, it sat there forever and it looked tip top though I didn't inquire further.

Someone could fall in love with it and pay the money. It could also stay advertised for months/years.

For comparison purposes, for what it's worth, there is also a rather fabulous looking 928GTS with 5-speed and sports seats on kijiji as well, asking price is 29,900$ for the rarest of the breed and 153,000kms (95K miles).

I beleive that 928 GTS is worth what he his asking for, indeed very rare car & not that many of them left to be had.
