Rare speed Yellow 968 cab for sale
Well, it is good to know 968 market is alive and well. This desirable 968 showed up on Autotrader last week:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
This is a rare (1 of 10) Speed Yellow cabriolet, #4 of the 10. I have been watching 968s for 13 years and have seen 5 of the 10 but never this one. I called the dealer and to hear him talk was priceless. He deals in exotic and unique cars and picked up this 968 as part of an estate. He didn't really know what the car was and felt he would be sitting on it for a while. His partner told him he thought something different would happen. Sure enough, the phone rang off the hook and from all corners of the country. He told me he could not believe it. He quickly raised the price a $1000 (car has 68K miles, supposedly nice) and has two deposits and a total of 5 buyers in line wanting the car. He went on to tell me that he has a 1 owner 63 vette and many nice ferarri's and hasn't gotten a car with this much interested in years. He was totally dumbfounded. i explained to him that the color was rare for the car and that was the reason. I hope a good new owner gets it and if it is someone on RL, good luck!

Damian,
Like I said, this is a new car to me and has been "under the radar" for as long as i have been watching. Bio's is a 94 as well but a different car.

If all goes according to plan, this will be mine within 24 hours. I've been wanting a 968 cab way before I even thought about 928s. I've been told that I am 1st in line with five behind me, but who knows, I'm all the way across the country from the car. Should have things firmed up by this evening, I will keep you posted.

Yeah, they told me they were raising the price to cover the cost of the new front light, but I knew there would be a frenzy for a Speed Yellow cab. I wanted to ask on here whether anyone knew about the car, but didn't want to help advertise it till I could sort things out. The dealer was vague at best about the history. The Car Fax shows it spending most of its time in North Carolina until it went to Southern California about 5 years ago. So any info anyone has about it would be greatly welcomed.
The same frenzy exist on the 928 side for a SY 928 GTS. Heck there was a thread the other week cause someone found a blurry pic on the internet of a known one on the highway in Houston.

Like I said, I knew about 5 of them (out of 10) but not that one. PM me at some point with your email. I have an interesting document for you.
SY 928???!!! Here in the US???!!! I didn't know about that one. I've looked through the 928 GTS registry before and the wildest color one I saw in North America was the Cobalt blue one. Oh, and of course, the last one which i understand is not in the US any longer.

Yes, I have a few, and if you'll give me till tomorrow I'll post some photos. Kinda trying to limit the exposure to help quell the frenzy until I have it all finalized with the sale if you understand.
