Default Just an observation

I've done almost 20 autocross events this year so how many 968's do you think I've seen?

ZERO!

This is the first year in which I've never seen a 968 at any of the events. Guys I've talked to who used to drive 968's have sold them and moved onto Cayman or some other car. I have a buddy who drives a black 968 coupe with me at track days and I saw the mint green coupe at Thunderhill once earlier this year, but besides these I haven't seen any at the track either.

This week I stopped in at Parts Heaven where they had at least 1 new 968 that wasn't even wrecked along with half a dozen others they've parted this year. The owner didn't have money to fix the water pump so they parted the whole car. I'd say hold onto your 968 if you've got one, especially if it's a coupe because they're truly becoming extinct! I would hate to be looking for a nice 968 right now because there's really none to be had anywhere in the US!

I see 968's at AX about once every 2 years. I almost bought one.. Tahoe blue over white a few years back but ended up with a Boxster instead (which was subsequently sold and replaced with the car in my avatar). in fact, I test drove the 968 and an S2 in the same day. Called the seller the next day (tested on Sunday, called on Monday) to learn it got sold that night, unseen, by a fellow from Florida. Doh!

Indeed they are rare and only getting moreso.

Classic grey is a darker grey.
