Yes, I saw a couple of his videos. Those helped me discover the path. To me a kit is not how I want to do it. I'd build a monocoque and the suspension from scratch.

I actually met him while he was trailering one of his Spyders and one of the first 904s (I think it was a prototype) somewhere in North Florida (wish I could remember where). Still have the photos.

I'd get 996 Gt3 Mk1, although still over budget. track prepped 930 would be nice, but cost's tons of money to get it built properly, if not already done. old licght track prepped 911 would be cool, if it had 3.2ltr engine or newer.

if budget was no issue then Carrera GTS, 968 Turbo S, or Ruf "Yellowbird" CTR.

No roof, relatively heavy, and a hybrid. Not my style. If I got one free, I'd just turn around and sell it, probably get a GT2 RS.

Is this car going to be priced as much as a GT2 RS?

I'm pretty sure the 918 Spyder will be much more expensive than the GT2 RS, if they actually series-produce it.

i love these billion-dollar, fake-green, hybrid cars, w/ carbon footprint (manufacture) = to no more than about 11 hummers.

I think the OP's question was more like "if you were ready to move on from the 968, what would you buy after you sold it?"

If we're going to dream, then I'd get a 993tt and get a 959 body conversion. A real 959 would be nice but a) they're not for sale often, and b) I'd hesitate to ever drive it.

A 996 GT3 would be very high on my list.

a 996 gt3 has clearly, superior handling over a 959.

and, where the hell are you going to use the extra 7 mph offered by a 959 ?

190 mph in a 968 would make me happy. (hopefully, later this year).

I actually like the 993TT body better than the 959, I'd only get the 959 for the mechanicals.

$650,000 - Porsche Board approved it in July

oh and if price was an issue, I'd get a speed yellow 996 targa.
