924 Carrera GTS or 968 Turbo S.......both fine choices.

For the amount it would cost to get into a 993TT...it would make a lot more sense to turbo my 968. That's probably what I'd replace it with.

The 904 with the 2.2 1970 engine and 901 transaxle I'm going to build.

Sounds like a fantastic project! Is the 904 a kit like the 550 kits out there?

That's surprising - I figured we had similar taste based on how *delicious* that maritime blue 968 turbo project car looks, but I don't like the panamera.

I forgot that 964 5-speed targa I mentioned was a C4. It was my dad's and I worked on it a bit. The 964 awd system is not the best and failures do occur. And if/when you need special C4 parts, you better bend over and spread oper your... wallet. I never got to romp on it and feel the awd but I'm sure it would have felt really good.

Which 2.2 spec are you going with, "S"? I think most of the 4-cyl 904s had 180 hp, which would match that.

Sort of. I found a guy in Vancouver who made a mold off an original 904 and will lay down glass for a one copy a year.

The choice of a 2.2 is because the new rules up here says that the year of the motor dictates the emissions test. 1970 was the last year for a high compression engine.

My apology. Didn't mean to quote myself. In any case I wouldn't sell the 968. Ever. 400 hp from an LS1 whats to consider.

You know Chuck Beck is making a 904 too, right? Not that he's delivering it as a kit, I mean, just that he's building his own replica.
