Default 968 CS seat update

www.classiccarseats.com has completed design and is starting to manufacture replica CS seats. They'll post this on their website soon-hard painted backs, a little lower seat position. No affiliation, just saw them post on another site. No pricing info so far that I see.

WOW, awesome! Thanks for sharing. I wonder if they can customize the leather color.

I'm sure they'll cover it with whatever you want to pay for.

" a little lower seat position"

So that will be a recaro spg I expect, the trampoline(webbing under the lower cushion) is the only difference (other than fabric) between a CS seat and an spg.

Apparently it is their own design and manufacture, they make the seat lower to help with helmet clearance.

Ah ok, I haven't had a problem with clearance on a 968, after owning a 944 it was such a relief when I realised they lowered the seat mounts.

Do you mean the seat mounts on regular factory seats are lower on a 968 than a 944? If so I never knew that....how did they make them lower?

Yes they are lower, the floor panel is different, a lot of trouble but a great improvement.
