Thanks Jeff, you're the man! To celebrate, how about a little HB avatar?

Scott, yeah you're a HB fiend. I have been on the fence about selling this car since I got it from my mom 2 years ago. The only blue I like more is maritime blue, and I can't buy one until I sell my HB, but fat chance I'll ever find a MB car. It would be like dumping a cheerleader for a chance at the prom queen!

1 of 12 is cool. If there's a HB coupe out there which was resprayed another color we can call it Judas.

I guess interior choices are pretty evenly split between gray and black, with a couple blue. I've always thought that classic gray does not suit HB as well as black does.

I don't suppose anyone has pics of HB 968s with those blue interiors? Or any interiors (just for fun)?

I have a picture of the interior of the car I included in the first post so I'll add that tonight.

Dino asked me to post the details on the Maritime blue 968s so I'll do that next week (8 coupes, 1 cab).

Just for you Arash, I'm not going to post all the details on the HB 968 cabs (too many) but here are the rollup cab color statistics for you:

21 - F4 HB w V8 Dark Blue top & SW Marine Blue partial leather
5 - F4 HB w V8 Dark Blue top & TU light gray/classic gray partial leather
4 - F4 HB w V8 Dark Blue top & VA light gray/cobalt blue partial leather
1 - F4 HB w V8 Dark Blue top & TT classic gray partial leather
1 - F4 HB w V8 Dark Blue top & LC black/cashmere partial leather
1 - F4 HB w V4 Cobalt Blue top & TV cobalt blue partial leather
1 - F4 HB w V8 Dark Blue top & DS Marine Blue porsche script cloth

I've seen the black/cashmere interior car listed for sale this year.

Wow, thanks Jeff!

I met the owner of the horizon blue / cashmere cab at a 968 meet once. Nice guy, also from the Bay area... I think I saw his ad on the local craigslist. It was the first horizon blue car I had ever seen after my own (and still the only other), so I didn't know it was a rare combo! I wanted to get one like that but it seems it's a 1 of 1!

I can't believe some of those numbers! Full classic gray is tied for least popular, when for the coupes it's the most popular! And then, the most popular (by far) is marine blue, I mean there can't have been that many marine blue interiors altogether, so I'm guessing 22 is a large portion of them!

Thanks again for your contribution to the community. I patiently await the maritime blue info... It would be cool to know how many optionless runts, er, affordable gems, I have to choose from.

Arash,

For coupes, Marine blue is the 7th most popular color with 55 total produced (behind black, cashmere/black, classic gray, light gray/classic gray, marble gray/black, light gray/black)

For cabs, Marine blue is the 4th most popular color with 141 total produced (behind cashmere/black, black, classic gray)

And here's more for you on Marine Blue:

For the 141 cabs you can find the interior on:
100 - P5 white
22 - H4 Horizon Blue
12 - A8 Polar silver
6 - F8 Midnight blue
1 - 58 Tahoe blue

For the 55 coupes you can find the interior on:
39 - P5 white
9 - A8 Polar silver
4- F8 Midnight blue
2 - H4 Horizon Blue
1 - F6 Cobalt blue

I still have to post that interior photo for you.
Jeff

Thats not HB if the color the camera captured is anywhere near close to accurate. Thats the good news, the bad news is that had to be another rare shade of blue, as I do not believe I have seen it before.

Yes, definitely NOT Horizon Blue....it's one of the greens, but horrible light reflections, so now we get to guess which green. I vote for Wimbledon (too dark) or Oak (too Blue) or were there any Granite Green Cabs?

Darryl,

Not a single code 53 granite green 968 coupe or cab was produced for north america. Sounds like a field trip is in order to check this out. Who's up for it?

It's a little too far for me. It looks to me like Petrol Blue, but I didn't think that color survived to 1992-95. Someone could just ask for more pics of the bumper...

It's interesting looking at that paint/interior combo data. It's like taking a survey of what people think looks good, sort of a peek into the psyche...... Personally I never liked blue interiors and especially not with white paint.

Thanks Scott.
