Thanks for your honesty, I'll try to put it on the US roads a couple of time next sunmmer, but I live in Quebec Canada... so it will be one of the choicest 968s on CDN roads! lol!

I think you should kick your tire guy in the rear, Jan. is too long to wait to actually see them on the car. Very excited to see the finished product on the street next spring.

I cant kick him, he's my cousin and I'm in no rush anyways.
As soon as I can, I'll post pics with the new mags

And, normally aspirated 968's don't attain 164 mph, nor 157 mph for that matter. I haven't seen a 968 exceed 140 on a race track.

absolutely true. i've had my car a bit faster... i reached the redline (engine cut out) @ about 6450 rpm, which works out to 162~163 mph on a cold night running new 25.65" Dunlop 9000 - 275 35 18s, 93 octane, 2.5" straight pipe, (no cat) and 3" Hooker Maxflow muffler.... my top speed pass required about 6~7 miles on a VERY long straight (somewhere near nebraska/south dakota) with a couple of mild curves. obviously, very close to the end of the variocam's power.

when i pulled up and got out, the tires were extremely hot, (even in the 15 degree air).

i've had my fun. i won't do it again.

A car is a personal statement, and there really is no "right" or "wrong" so long as the owner is proud of his ride. In this case the end result is superb!

Whoops! Well then let me change my prior statement to, "one of the choicest 968s in the whole world"!

I can't look at those pictures enough, that gray just works perfectly on the 968!

When you get a chance, shoot and post some pics outdoors in sunlight so we can see the 'real' color - I think that light gray color is pretty damn cool, but looks kinda sickly under flourescents! Thanks!

We just got hit with 12inch of snow 3 days ago, and another 8 inch for next Sunday is forecast... So the season is definitely DONE!
