Check for stitching on the dash, the door cards and the seats would be all leather.
Here's a photo of part of the dash (just the lower dash is wrapped and stiched in leather). The console and lid are also wrapped in leather and stitched. Code VD is full leather in black, code VN is full leather seats in black. Less then 50 NA 968s (both cab and coupe, all colors) were produced with the $5K full leather option.
Very very good reply. I definitely appreciate it. I can see why only 50 vehicles got the option. I would be hard pressed to spend $5k on the noted additional leather.
