Default FS 93 968

Hi,

Brand new to the forum, and I'm overblessed with 968s at the moment.

Thus, as soon as I can figure out how to post on the Rennlist classifieds I'll be putting a Guards Red 1993 6-speed non M030 968 there. Full black leather interior is in good shape. No rips, no holes, no tears. Only interior negative I can think of is the glove box catch is missing. Dash has one maybe two 1 inch maximum cracks near vent.

BTW, a California car, no rust at all.

I decided that I wanted to give someone who appreciates the 968 the first chance at it.

The car has about 99,500 miles. Decent shape, hood has been painted, I'm the third owner and I'm willing to divulge everything I know about the car.

Reason for selling, I also have a 94 968 that's a tip (I also have a 76 930 Turbo). Before you ask why I'm selling the better 968, it's because I have a slight case of cerebal palsy and I found that the pedal positions in the six speed was not well suited for me. Love the car, just wasn't comfortable driving it. So I bought am extremely nice tip and I like it.

Hood was painted because 1st owner while turning around in his drive ran into a chain link fence and scratched the hood pretty badly.

Second owner was a Porsche mechanic who bought it from his customer (the first owner). I bought it from the Porsche mechanic.

If anyone is interested in the car drop me a note. Price is of course negotiable but I shall not give the car away. I'm thinking $12k.

Can arrange for pre-purchase (your dime, sorry) at a top Porsche mechanic in San Jose CA area. You will not be disappointed with these guys.

That's a really beautiful car, looks pristine. Deja vu...that could be a clone of my car, precisely what it looked like a long, long time ago...

Good luck, hope it finds a good home

Car looks great but based on the photos I think you just have the partial leather. Full leather 968s are extremely rare. If you check your interior code, if you see "LT" then it is the partial leather (seat tops) in black.

Jeff968,

Thank you. Quite honestly, I didn't necessarily know the definition of full leather. I'll get the option codes and post them with the description of the car.

That is a very nice car- for a RED from cali I am suprised it has not turned pink yet. My previous FLA coupe after years of being outside every year would change closer to pink then red... Yours looks great. BTW I too have air cooled and waterpumpers at the house. mine is a ROW 85 930. Good luck with the sale.

Cheers Mike

Did he get an Amazon coupe? I will sell the Aventurine coupe at some point. A pink coupe would be the perfect bookend to the mint green cab!!

Nice red 968. My red one only looks that good right after a weekend of polishing. Hey you're local, we might have seen each other on the freeway. GLWS!

Okay,

So the interior code does say LT. If it did have a full leather interior what parts would be covered versus not covered in the partial leather interior?

Check for stitching on the dash, the door cards and the seats would be all leather.
