Default Is this an M030 968 coupe with LSD?

Does this option list indicate that this is a 1995 M030 coupe with LSD? The owner claims it is, but i don't think this option list confirms that - does it?

Regards,
Jim

Nope. It would have an "030" and a "220" in the list.

Just beware that this 968 isn't original...the seller claims to have aftermarket shocks, springs, sway bars, and possibly brake components installed. Some of these may be factory parts while other may not. Here's what those options are as far as I can tell:

c02 - catalytic converter
231
331 - am/fm cassette
398 - electric mirror
423 - cassette container/coin box
425 - rear window wiper
437 - full power seat left
438 - full power seat right
454 - cruise control
490 - sound package
650 - sunroof
718 - reVIN

C02 is US model, not just catalytic converter
231 Change of manufacturer of tyre installed on the production line (not customer selectable)

398 can be one of these three:
398 Left outside mirror electric plain
398 17" Cup Design wheels
398 P31 sports chassis (968)
What exactly P31 package contains?

437 and 438 can be:
437 Comfort seat left
438 Comfort seat right
I think meaning normal 8-way electric seats. I think full power version would have 437 + 586 and 438 + 513 meaning comfort with additional lumbar support. If seats had also memory then code pair would be 437 + 537 and 438 + 538 but I think memory was not available as reqular option to 968.

Codes are from this list:

Take a look at "Project 968" here for a much better deal.

So 398 might indicate a 'sports chassis'? Can someone confirm which of these 398 options this car has?

Nice looking finished project... thanks. I'd appreciate if you don't hijack this thread, too, trying to sell your car - i'd recommend posting a separate ad with the details.

Regards,
Jim

In the 968 world, code 398 is always 17" light alloy wheels, Cup2 design style. They showed up on the 94.5 and 95s. 398 was included in the M030 sport chassis option package (P31) but remember, 220 limited slip was not!!! I'm finding that 20% of the M030 cars did not have LSD. The thing with these option codes is that Porsche reused them for later models as well so you need to look at period documentation to figure out what they are but when you are talking 968s, 398 is alway 17" wheels.

I've never heard of this limited edition plaque - what does this signify?

The plaque was fabricated by someone other then the manufacturer. Was never offered by porsche. Jeff also stated that this was the 60th '95 built. So that plaque is wrong as well.

In the picture with the door open above, I do not see the plaque over the glove box? Also, what does the 718 reVIN code mean?

That shows when the change is from, say, a 94 to a 95.

Miles,

My '95 Coupe is also a 718 car. These are cars that were originally built as 94's but "revin'ed" and sold as '95 model year cars. There are both '94 & '95 718 cars. The 94's with 718 code have the early interior. While the none 718 94's have the later interior. Early vs late meaning 944/993 seats.
