Awesome car, driver has some stones with such a rare car. I assume it is a real Turbo S.

It was in French - very nice car - I understood most of what was said - i didn't know some of these were modified to 350 hp.

They speak of the 337hp TurboRS and 350hp GT (never heard of this last one).

Interestingly, they say the 968TS had similar performance to 911 Turbo 3.6 yet the 968 is "more efficient and fun to drive than the 911".

A very positive review indeed.

Chris

Just different states of Tune.

The Turbo S made 305HP in street guise, the Turbo RS cars made either 337HP or 350HP depending on which series they were racing in. In ADAC they were restricted to 337HP. in international catagories, they were allowed to make 350HP. Besides the 4 Factory RS cars, there was also the Turbo RS conversion which started life as a Turbo S.

Excellent find. It's amazing to see how much fun this car is.
Going from an S to an RS required some serious mods which included an extensive welded cage. There was one in hershey a few yrs back. If anyone is interested, I took some pictures.

Both # 1 of 4 (Red Turbo RS) as well as Pete's yellow Turbo RS Conversion (Original Turbo S car) were at hershey one year.
a lot of pics of the Red car can be found in Porschedude1's "968 Turbo RS Pics" thread.
