Hood Light switch bad= dead battery

Default Hood Light switch bad= dead battery

New Battery,new alternator,battery kept dieing. The hood light stayed on do to a bad switch when hood closed. Result dead battery.

Crap! I forgot to disconnect mine last night! I'll bet my batteries dead too!

I thought the hood light is downstream of the panel lights and only activates with the headlights or running lights on? That's how mine works.

This seems to be a common issue. Mine stays on all the time also, so I disconnect the plug and I've been trying to find a solution ever since.

It must be a 968 'improvement' they made over the 944

Yes, the switch is also part of the alarm system, IIRC
Though I have taken out the bulb anyway
