failed inspection, airbag light
Anyone have any ideas on a temporary fix for getting the light off? I don't care if i disable all of my warning lights, it's just to pass the inspection. I'd prefer not removing the dash.

There is a wire you can cut between the ECU and the airbag module to disable the warning. I do not know if the airbag system is disabled before or after cutting this wire so getting the module reset would be wise.
In my 92 it is a white wire with a black stripe, coming from the airbag module behind the glove box in a bundle of 4 wires.

thanks for the responses. i plan to take the car to a shop in the coming weeks with the diagnostic tool to reset, i have a lot going on right now though and just need to get that inspection sticker since my 951 isn't running right now.
can i just unplug the airbag module behind the glove box? i'd rather not cut any wires.

FYI the car will not start with the airbag module disconnected.
Fortunately, I have a doctor's appointment near Martin's German Service in Roanoke, so I'll fix it the right way now. Thanks for the help.
