So that interior is "VG magenta/light grey", not simply "light grey"... that explains the dash and wheel. Thanks!

You got it. There is no such thing as a full light grey interior. It is always paired with another color, either black, classic grey, cobalt blue, or magenta. Same thing with the 94.5-95 Marble grey. It will be paired with black or midnight blue.

Perfect, just what I wanted to know.

I assume the same goes for cashmere, and that it's always paired with a black dash-top, wheel, pillars and headliner?

That's right! And remember, your cashmere interior came through with matching cashmere carpets UNLESS you ordered the deviating carpet option and got them in black which a number of people did. See attachment!

Yes, piping was available in all years ($120 option) and you could get it in other colors besides what matched the interior/exterior. If you have a minute, would you mind checking your vehicle information tag (found on page 2 of the maintenance manual or under the rear hatch carpet) to see if you have code 13871 listed. That is the code i have for piping in red but I'm not 100% sure about it. Thanks!

Thanks, any other 5 digit codes on your car? Believe it or not, each piping color has a different option code number.

That's really detailed of Porsche!

Jeff, you should write the next 968 book. This one can cover all the information the others lack. I already know the 968 evolved from the 924 and that it has a 6-speed or a tiptronic. I want a book about all the stuff in this thread! Sure, 99% of people might find it dry reading. But 99% of people are lame.

Anyone mention deviated stitching yet?
IIRC, there was a guards red 94 red M030 for sale a while back, black interior with red deviated stitching on doors and seats. Looked great.

Okay, I'll start the book as soon as I'm done with the coupes.

As for stitching, that would be option code 14111, cost only $48. The current owner of the red car, nice guy, sent me some photos which I have somewhere.

I agree, it does look great! Best 48 bucks spent by a P.O.
