Although I would change "animosity" to childish. My wife occasionally reads this stuff only when she sees me shaking my head. She's happy/proud she drives a 968 but even happier she does not hang out on forums with a bunch of "7th graders" (students in grade 7 for those of you on the other side of the pond ).

Boy, 4 pm's and a ton of posts while I'm off having a romantic dinner! (Well, as romantic as it can be without wine, as I give up booze for Lent). I could really use a drink right now!

I will post my Dyno sheets in addition to my time slip @ the track if i go this Sunday. It will all be posted in a another thread i start soon.
My exact #'s were
245.6RWHP@6,400RPM & 238.3lbs/ft @4,200RPM.
This run was done with 10 inch wide 18" OEM Technology Hollow Spokes with 265/35 18 Rubber. My car is also running a Cat.
Im still working out a few things and will be trying a few other modifications. I'm hoping to get over 250RWHP next time around. A lot of time, money and playing around to get this far.
Rob, all this info is available on "968forums.com"
As for RS Barn's Factory Turbo S/RS, i've seen the car in person. The car started life as a Turbo S an was converted into an RS by the factory. It was built as a back-up car for Lemans, but never actually raced. pretty interesting car.

Well, I don't venture to that forum, as I'm very brand loyal to Rennlist. How come you don't visit our web site more often and share this informaton? The 968 community is trying to grow here, IMO. Anyway, I have a great Dynatech STB and am looking to buy a short-shifter kit too.

I havnt been on any of the 968 related forums for a while. Been playing with projects, I post more often on 968forums, but my post count there is low as well...compared to the frequent posters anyway.
If you come to the Drive this sunday, i will likely be there. As far as the short shift kit goes. Contact Pete @ RS Barn. He is the only Vender that sells Design 1 products as far as i know. It should be available in a few weeks. I'm waiting on it as well.
Here is a pic of RS Barn's Turbo S/RS.

That's a nice gesture but my car isn't done, not yet. Someday. And thanks for the tips but I'm pretty keen on a few other vendors I have worked with in the past, and-or are RL approved site Sponsors, as I like to support this community. And I have seen Pete's car in person several times too, it's very nice. However you sould be careful about being a proponent of his products on here, as he isn't a RL Sponsor, some competing Sponsors could become annoyed, let alone he's banned from this site. Anyway, let's not have your thread go OT, as you were inquiring about the brace, as per post # 1. Good luck with your quest.

Limiting one self to certain venders is crazy imho. I buy whatever is best for my application, regardless of the manufacturer or vender. I honestly couldnt care less who makes what...as long as it does what it is supposed to and works best for my application. I have parts from various venders on my car. RS Barn/Design 1, PowerHaus, Lindsey Racing, Broadfoot racing, etc. Most of my parts are from venders who do not sponsor this sight and because of this, it seems as though you and/or other mods would not appreciate if i post whats done to my car to get to the power level's i'm at. If this is the case.......
In regards to the short shift kit, there are a few other SS Kits out there. I know Speed-6 used to make one (not sure if they still do). Based on what i've read, you cannot use the OEM shift **** with their kit however. That is one of my concerns, which is why i want a 944Racing or Design 1 Short shift, i would like to retain the OEM **** and replace the leather boot with suade.

+1.
Actually I was there the day that car was purchased and saw it in its original guise, not running, missing lots of bits and pieces with its heavy front end impact and pictures showing the same, and the ADAC race logbook.
