Dijon, round 2 of the GT Classic ........ it happened the weekend of August 15 ....................
Wednesday late a.m: Convoy ready to go .............

Thursday ..... Quiet trip; 3 p.m., the hotel room was welcome to drop off the suitcases and freshen up before meeting the whole team on the circuit. 8 p.m., the Gbf Racing-Team paddock was over, there was still a reunion aperitif to be finalized.

Friday, 8am, the weather is really ....... overcast from overcast !! It rained overnight. To be continued for noon, the first free practice.

Free practice over, and the car has regained all its energy !!! Track a bit oily, and I was able to regain my time from last year: 1 '34' 'with the 2019 Yoko. For the qualifiers, we will put the Michelin !!!! The weather is still overcast but no water ......

The showers follow one another and the decision is made to go into rain 40mn before the pre-grid !!!!
Qualifications completed without a single drop of water !!!! Not the best with my P2G, even going through the wet parts of the track. The last laps, the front grip faded, in short, it is better to return before the end of the session. Verdict: 1'43 "....... Tomorrow it should be" dry ", so I will have to make up for it.

This time puts me in 15th position, therefore in 7th row !!! There will be people in front and behind at the first braking !!!!

Saturday 8 am, good weather, the clouds have passed. Little fresh wind. In short, that it lasts until 15 hours, start of race 1.

11 am, the weight training session is over. Wheels for the dry replaced the "rain".

Race 1 ended, stopped before the end following an exit from the track. 12th / 27. And 4 seconds behind my opponent in GTC2 on his Z3M. Tomorrow, in the cool, the turbo should give

Photos of race 1

Sunday, 7:30 am, the GT Classic and Saloon Cars paddock wakes up. Pre grid in 30 minutes.

8am, pre grid at Paddock 4, located on the other side of the pit lane and the sky which was overcast becomes more and more threatening and the drizzle begins !! 8:30 am, the first big drops in the Pit lane and everything accelerates ... a heavy downpour, delayed start ..... mess in the Race direction !!! the most seasoned and better equipped in mechanics will be able to change the wheels; some will go back to the P4 to put the rains while a few minutes earlier, it was forbidden !!! For the others ..... slicks on the rain !!!! Departure under safety car ..... and my ordeal will last 30 minutes trying to stay on the track. 25 cars were to compete ... 19 will finish ..... A race to forget ....

While waiting for the videos and other photos perhaps, the GT Classic Trophy and French Championship rankings after Dijon

Good prognosis if we look times laps on Dijon !!!!!

968 = 1'34"714
20 = 1'45"538
72 = 1'39"019

But Charade is compared to a miniature Spa Francorchamp !!!

Charade, in the Massif-Central was the circuit where rain, and sun have alternated all the time

The free practice took place in the rain and I discovered my new Michelin P2Gs. Excellent !!!

4th fastest time ????

The qualifying practice on Saturday morning will be in the dry

The Saturday afternoon race will be done in the rain !!!!!!

The Sunday afternoon race will be under a beautiful sun and the Saloon Cars will regain the advantage

The hierarchy of power-to-weight ratios is respected !!!

Positive results with two 2nd places in GTC2 with the added bonus of the "Kennol Awards" for my Sunday Race

In 10 days, we will meet again in Nogaro !!!!
