Default VIN error

Never say never. Take a look at the last photo of this 94 968 cab for sale on eBay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...QQcmdZViewItem

You'll notice the VIN in the photo does not match the one listed in the ad. Well the one in the ad is correct. What you are looking at in the photo is a stamped VIN error, from the factory!!! It says WP0CA6962RS840458. It should be WP0CA2966RS840458. Can you believe they would make that error?

Wow! Do you have the oak green cab that's on ebay in your registry? My first 968 was an oak green cab, what a great color!

Interesting, is that a Canada Car? I thought that we are WP0AA and this one is WP0CA.

Steve,
I don't think I have that car but the VIN isn't listed. I do have 8 oak green cabs registered.

All North American cars including Canada have WP0AA. MY turbo is Canadian and has WP0AA as well. It was a big help when getting it registered in US. I did not need to get it federalized because of the VIN.

VIN aside for $9k (current bit) and only 54k miles I could almost talk wife into making room in the stable for another one (she would love a rag top).
