Default OK just all I asked for was Dynos on 968 Turbo Conversions...

Here's what I got.....

Hi Chris,

The Stage 5 is what we use for 3.0L engine or larger. We custom build it to your requirements.

We have a many Stage 5 in the field, however I'm not at liberty to share their dyno charts. We rely on our customers to provide the charts so we can share only with their permission (if they allow us to do so).

Regards,

$4500 for huh?

It doesn't necessarily mean the shop is trying to hide anything. Now if they had their own 969 Turbo I would expect them to share the data to promote their products. But if it were my car I wouldn't want them spreading my dyno sheets across the internet without my permission. Sounds like a decent shop in the sense that they honor their agreements with their customers.

I posted here in case you guys have researched turbo conversions....

I guess I understand not wanting numbers posted for anyone's mods (but it doesn't have to correlate to any particular car/location/name...). I just wanted something to help with the decision to spend the money and time, not to mention needing more tuning data to ensure it won't smoke my engine...

I will shortly be selling my Vitesse Stage V turbo if thats what you are after. It makes 400hp at 17psi and thats conservative, but its a little late spooling for my liking so I will be dowsizing for better response and upgrading to BB core. That reply sounds like a standard Vitesse response to me!

Chris or AZ944, as a policy, we do not post our own dyno charts. Customers send us their dyno data/charts! Many customers are ok with sharing the information with others some are not. We honor our customers requests, it's "THEIR DYNO CHART", they do whatever they want.

My reply to you was to make sure you understood why I cannot send you the charts, they are not mine to give.

There are multiple complete Stage 5 kits running, some on this board. Maybe some will share their data with you.

So what was the purpose of your post?

Late spooling? When does it hit 17psi? My VR5 hits 1 bar at or about 3k rpm. When does yours make boost?

What does smoking your engine have to do with Dyno charts? Many a glory run has been done on the dyno only to have the engine fail the next day. A dyno isn't going to help you one iota trying to figure out if it's worth the money and time.

Tom, it depends what gear I am in but with the 68 box in the lower gears its over so quick I need to be in 4th gear before I can make 15psi. In top I make 1 bar on the boost gauge at around 3500 but the datalogger shows more like 4k rpm so go figure. I have an earlier stage V than you though.....

Fast 951, all I was seeking was dyno results (anonymous charts, not customer names, car colors, state of ownership or anything remotely identifiable or traceable to an owner).... And for the record, I didn't name you guys but someone else figured it out...

Why so serious????

Interesting, I guess those design changes made a difference? How is your engine configured? Mine has Mahle/Andial 104.5 pistons, 2.7 head, 951 cam, 3" downpipe/exhaust, profec b original, tial 46mm... I just posted the spool-up screen shot here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turbo-and-turbo-s-forum/446258-vitesse-stage-5-spool-up.html

It shows 14.5psi at 3K -- I am running CA pump gas right now, so am keeping the boost low. I was worried the turbo would spool later to make the power, but obviously not. Next I have to get to a dyno -- and, yes, I'll be happy to post it.
