Believe it or not, this 968 is being sold by the same guy who used to own the black m030 that's currently for sale and the red m030 that's also for sale. All three cars are in the $30k range. A couple months ago you could've bought this car for $15-20k. It didn't meet reserve at $13k.

The guy is over on forums and yes, he's a flipper. Hope the car gets to a good home next time. It is interesting to see a 968 flipped for collector reasons though. We'll see how he does.

In the 5th photo on the eBay , it looks like heavy overspray underneath the chassis by the rear bumper....so I'm going to go out on a limb and say NOT original paint.

The overspray is normal in that area. Its not heavily loaded either. I would say, atmost a $20K car. You would have to absolutely want it even at $20k.
Oh well, doesn't hurt to ask.
Normally, I don't question what people ask but with flippers, all bets are off.

I don't think so. Car strippers are worse killing perfectly good cars. I just feel flippers will take advantage of sellers (oh I love this car, give me a great price and I'll care for it forever), then turn around and sell the car for more money, sometimes lots. I feel bad for the guy who gives the flipper a good deal. That was his/her profit to make. But hey, that's the way capitalism works here in the good old US of A so good for the flippers. I see a new show on TLC, flip that 968

Raj take it easy. Criminy, you know me!!!! The last thing I am is a "flipper." sheez!
As far as the previous owner, I didn't buy it on eBay. As such, there is no "public" record of the price paid.
A childhood mentor had a Himerbor Red Metallic 356. So this Porsche color has been around for a while. I've always wanted a "bubble gum" pink 968 and this one comes close enough for me to initiate perma-grin.
I'm not super interested in selling the car. However, if someone has to have it (like me!), we'll find a price that works for both parties. Also, I live on a "postage stamp" sized lot and can only accomodate so many cars. I just picked up 2 new-to-me P-cars, so this 968 and another has to go (as such Raj, by definition, it's a "space" issue).
As most of you already know, I only consider the very best cars; and out of those very few, I only buy a few. This 968 is in literally "show room" condition. So, it's not the color nor option list that condones the asking price. It's the 968's "survivor" condition.
I feel that I've completely exhausted the supply of sub-30,000 mile/no paintwork/no accident M030 968s. Also, as I already have a few track "focused" 911s, a "more comfortable" stock suspension 968 with factory limited slip and heated seats fits my "street" car criteria.
I'm currently having a factory wing and set of 968 M030 wheels (e.g., 7.5"x17" & 9"x17"), painted to match! So for those of you "teetering" on loving or hating the Himberot hue, there'll be more to love or HATE!!!
my 2 cents,
Porsche
