Default Are 968 Struts interchangeable as 944S2?

Can I use a set of used 944S2 struts (housings) to do a koni insert job on the 968? Are they the same struts?

how about with a 944? I have a set of 1987 944 front struts with a new set of Koni inserts in there. Can I pop them in my 1992 968? I have the koni 944 rears as well, will they work in the 968?

Thanks.

I have 250# lowering springs mounted on the struts. I believe they were made by weltmeister. Are those fine up there? Can I lower the rear to match without having to re-index the torsion bars?

I have 1987 944 turbo koni struts installed on my 968. They also have the weltmeister 250# springs which lower the front by... 1 inch? The rear does look like it should be lowered a little bit. I was going to try adjusting the spring plates - I've heard there is enough adjustment to lower the car by something like .5" to .75" or thereabouts.

But relocating the battery to the rear might raise the front and lower the rear and make everything match...

I will be going to Mid-Ohio this fall for a track event. Maybe we could meet somewhere?

I'm looking at a couple sources for the parts but if I don't have some by then, maybe. Shoot me a PM when you are going.
