Default Fiske wheels arrived- they actually fit

The Fiske wheels arrived and we slapped the babies on and WOW- what a transformation. They really set the car off. They were 993 offsets 18s the fronts fit perfect although they sit out ever so slightly over the stockers and the rears sit in the same place as the stocks. I do feel I am going to play with the rear spacing alittle to visually match the fronts. I think I could set the wheels out 5mm or so and even go up a tire size and fill the wheel well. I can actually fit 305 or 315 - 18s on the rear with the current offset but want to keep the side wall straight. Thoughts- the rears now are only 275s....

Now for the interior- The racing seats need to go back to get the color exact, they are more linen than tan- I'll post the interior upgrades when I get to them--

Cheers- Mike

Talk about deep...

I agree, they look great- 18" 993 Narrow Body wheels work well on the 968.

I WISH I COULD. I'll be in SC working a contract for the next month starting Sunday so I will miss it. Maybe some other gathering. THe Mitty at road Atlanta perhaps- too far from CT I know........

I should have no problem keeping them clean- I simply plan on not touching the breaks or seriously changing out the break bias to even wear and add performance. I remember a OEM simple part swap to do this. I am also going ot set the rears out an additional 1/4" tonight and see if it fills the Wheel wells a little better- I have left over spacers from another car. Over all I am very happy and when it stops raining I am dying to see the car on the road!!!!!

Raj- funny how Karma works... thanks for the boost- Mike

From the one picture posted, the rears look good. You could try a small (1/4") rear spacer - but, it doesn't appear necessary from what I can see.

BTW, I'd like to know who was selling CCW's and what style & size wheels they were as I had a complete set (4) CCW corsairs stolen off of my trailer last June.

Nice looking wheels! (ON A GREAT LOOKING CAR) Wider tires look really cool...but I've always wondered if they give a lot of advantage? (not a comment, just a question). On a good day, my 968 will lay several feet of rubber on shifting into second gear and maybe a foot or so 2nd to 3rd....speed shifting (6 speed). That's not enough wheel spin to warrent larger tires.....however, that said, maybe wider tires give an advantage on the track or other venues?
