Will 944 Turbo Wheels fit 968 w/o problems?
I'm working on my wife to agree w/me that I NEED a new set of wheels for my 968 (this usually means buying her something of the same value, in a sense, making my purchase double the overal cost. Whatever it takes).
Does anyone know if 1989 944 Club Sport Turbo wheels fit? Do they require a spacer? Anyone have a photo of how they look on the 968? I'm not positive but I think they're 7J x 16 and 9J x 16 wheels. Is this narrower than stock? Can I get wider tires with a different wheel w/o widening the fenders? Any comments appreciated.
Thanks,
Harvey

Raj,
The adjustable, matching paint wing is frosting on a beautiful cake. White is one of the best colors on the 968. Then again, I've never seen a 968 (without a body kit) that I didn't like.

1st pic is the Kinesis K27's I just sold. Major pain to keep clean, but very light.
2nd is Boxter track wheels.
3rd is Cup II's with snow tires, currently on the car.
4th is a set 18" RH's I just picked up on the cheap side. Maybe for sale.

I have polished Clubsports on mine. I do not like wheels that are too 'busy' like the 3 piece design with all the nuts and bolts on them. They draw your eye too much. Stuff like that detracts from the clean, elegant lines of the car IMO. You want your eye to flow over the car, not flit from chunky detail to chunky detail like it would on a race car. On a race car you look at the centerlocks and the drybreak and the heim joints and the cage and the fire system. It's hard to see the whole car (until it goes by at 100.)
Too bad whoever designed the 350z didn't get that memo.

Raj, Are the spokes on your rims painted or chromed. I have those same rims on my 95 Cab. I was thinking about sending the to Wheel Wizard in Atlanta to freshen them up.
Cheers, Joel
P. S. Could you send me or post a close-up.

They will fit depending on the offsets. Most have the correct offset. An offset of 50 in the front may require a 3mm spacer to allow for mounting of the center cap.
