Thanks guys, just wish I had more progress to report, it seems to take more than forever.

Those lines won't be a problem, will be plenty of heatshielding.Having the roof off means the cage get be very snug, will be full clearance with the helmet so will be fine without.

Not sure of what the weight will be, removing the sunroof and the stock exhaust compensates to some extent for the turbo etc, but will look at that more seriously later, after it is on the road

That is only a crank hp number, should be achievable at around that boost with that turbo

Ok Rob if you insist!
Not a lot has been done of late, we have had to go on a bit of a go slow for a little while, but this time it is at my instigation, that global credit crunch just gets into everything!
So a bit of a delay for now, so only a few pics.
Lot of motec stuff, this is the turbo we will use for now,HTAGT35 with t3 1.06 housing in place with speed and ecg sensors.

This is as far as we have got with the cage, will have adjustment to cater for hans, you can see the plates where it will install, they like to make them compact to keep the crush of the chassis for safety, more or less sits where the rear seat was.It will be full cage when it is finished.
And the the spare wheel delete, it would never have worked with the brakes I am using and gives me a bit of useful space underneath for later.

How will that turbine housing and exhaust not melt your hood and right front tire?

Very cool project!

I'm curious, why did you go with the M800 instead of the M400 if you're sticking with the I-4?
