Default WTB - Stock Catalytic Converter

I am looking to buy a stock 968 catalytic converter. If you have one that you'd like to sell, let me know. Thanks.

I have a sizeable crack where the pipe and converter meet and yes, I do need to pass emissions in the new year. I'm hoping someone who has upgraded to an aftermarket system has one laying around.

Just to close this out, a new catalytic converter from Sunset is about $1,100. I found one local to me that has about 30k miles on it for $175. The seller also said if for some reason it was defective or didn't pass emissions he'd refund my money. Hard to beat that for the money.

We should set up a pass smog program were we ship a good cat around the states. Then we can all have the exhaust we want and can pass smog at the same time.

That is a great idea especially for owners in CA who want to modify their cars.

I was very fortunate because the guy I bought the cat from no longer had his 968 and the converter was just sitting in his storage room. He said he checks out Rennlist every so often and just happened on my post. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.

Damn, missed another sales opportunity to clear out my garage, was going to offer it to you at $0.00 firm no negotiating! it even has the chrome tip on end, guess I was to slow again. If someone else needs one it is here for the taking, I am in Florida so u need to either pick it up or pay for shipping.

Are you talking about the catalytic converter? You mention the chrome tip which sounds like the resonator/muffler section, or is the the whole thing?
