Default Dad picked up his new 968!

So the 968 I was getting together for my pops did well on the PPI. #4 cylinder was low and did not do good on the leak down. Fairwinds Porsche in Delaware did some trouble shooting and ended up being some deposits on the ring. They cleaned it and then all 4 cylinders compressed the same and the leakdown was good. So my dad picked it up last night (he's up in DC with my mom visiting my sister's family) and he said it's brand new inside and out. Amazing. He's in heaven. He called me every 20 mins on the 2 hour drive back to DC with something else he loves about the car. It's kinda funny actually, like a kid again. 55 year old retired AF fighter jock. Haha.

Good for him and for you on steering him to such a nice car. What are the details? year, options? We have a few events here on the east coast once the spring comes around if he is interested.

That is great news. As Jeff stated, we have a gathering every year, he should try to show up if he can.

So dad called me about 10 times yesterday. He got the bra I had Performance overnight him (only ones that could get it there by Friday), and put it on. It's for the 850 mile trip home. Got him mirror bras too. He is so funny. If I had a dime for every time he said, "This is like Porsche perfected everything bad about the 924!" HAHA. That's about right dad! He bought a '79 924 when I was 3 years old hence my Porsche fetish. I am heading home for Thanksgiving next weekend, can't wait to see the new addition to the family. I'll post pics.

I really wish I could get my dad into 968s. He started the family Porsche fetish by buying our current 944, back in 1989. He hated it and wanted more power so he got a 928. Went through 3 928s over the years, now he's into 911s. Mom took the 944, and it's that 944 that got me into it.

I got my mom a 968 a few months ago, so I guess I succeeded there.

I'm eager for the pics too. EDIT: I saw the one pic in the other thread. Looks nice!
