Default Shift **** for 968

Has anyone ever replaced the shift ****? I am considering the MOMO Shift/Shifter **** Combat Evo Chrome/Black Leather but am not sure if it would fit. Have a call into the seller but, wondered what people here were using as replacements, etc...

The shift lever is rectangular, not round as most are. There are adapters out there. I got one from 9x a few years ago, but didn't like the fit and it rattled like crazy due to the torque tube/driveline vibrations.

I have the Kokeln shift ****. It's knurled (sp?) aluminum is easy to grip.

It does get hot, though, after a few hard sessions at the track.

That's a nice one but, I would like to know what other options are out there??? Anyone else changed this out? What other styles work without the adapter???

I have a stock **** with my hand-made (by me) Porsche crest insert.

NOTE: Actually, the one pictured is not the one in my car anymore. The one in my car is a metal crest, the one pictured is plastic.

Dave G has either a 986/996 or a 987/997 shifter, I forget which. So apparently it's possible but I don't know what difficulties are involved.

I have the 986/Boxster 6-speed shift **** on my 92 coupe and it fits well with no unusual noise or vibration.
