LEDA vs Bilstein Escort Cup Ugrade
To Any who know...
I'm going to be upgrading this fall. I've studied the Paragon and RSBarn sites. Looking for any "hands on" thoughts.
Prices seem to be roughly a wash by the time everything is added.

Jason......Is your car street driven or track only? If street.....how do you find the Escort cup on the street? What spring rates are you running, torsion bars or no etc.
I am currently trying to decide between Escort Cup, Firehawk, Adjustable Koni yellows for my '92 968 (will go with M030 sways). I have heard and read about on Rennlist differing opionions on whether they are too stiff for a dual use car. My 968 is only driven a day or two a week on the street with about 6-8 DE's per year. I don't mind it stiff, but i do need some streetability.
I was just going to post a question on this very topic.
Thanks.
Jim

Three Wheelin'
Jim,
My car is strictly a track car...the Bilstein cup would be much too stiff and 'unforgiving' for a street car. I'm sorry, I didn't realize what your application was.
My spring rates are 650# up front and 750# in the rear...no torsion bars either.
My car weighs about 2,650 lbs.
If I was a rich man, I'd check out those Motons which I've seen many people using...They rave about the adjustability on them.
That would be the ticket...granted, a very expensive ticket though!
Best,
Jason

After I posted my question, I did a search on "Bilstein Leda" and got this:
I couldn't figure out how to copy the link so the title of the thread is:
"Best Coilover Kit for $3500-$4000"
There is a lot of good information there. Doesn't answer all of my questions but I know a whole lot more than I did this morning.

I run escort w/turbocup progressive rate springs,Ran on street for a while but you'll get real selective on the roads you travel.Mostly to the track and back. I do trailer now thou.Hope this helps.
