Steve, beautiful pictures. What's surprising is that both red cars look like different shades of red. I know yours is all original.
Do you think its just lighting or are the two cars actually different shades of red.

I believe one of the reds is a respray with clear coat.

Raj,

Scott's car has been resprayed at one point, it's clearcoated, and does seem to be a different shade of red. I like this shot of his car the best...

A friend of mine was working on the RE Amemiya RX7 and took a picture of the engine bay of the 968 for me. I'll see if I can get a copy of the photo and post it here.

Did he mention how well the lights work? From that picture, the lights seem to point up more than on the 993.

Also, where did he get the fenders to make the conversion? Is it from that Japanese company? How well did they fit?

Thanks

Jim, that's a great picture! Is the 968 a competitive F stock racer? And what exactly is their definition of 'stock?' Thanks.

Yes, a 968 can definitely be competitive in PCA F class. I've run in 5 PCA races this year, and have finished 1st in F once, 2nd three times, and 4th once, all against large fields. Its also very competitive in NASA GTS2 class. I have a number of victories and podiums in that class as well. Mike Ward, the red 968 in the picture above does well in these classes too.

In the PCA stock classes you can do major suspension mods, intake, header and exhaust. Anything else generally bumps the car up a class as "prepared".
