Stumbled across this while surfing thru Gert's (Rennlist sponsor) website

968 Cup chin spoiler? Was there a 968 Cup car? Has anyone seen this before?

It looks very similar to the factory 968 TS front splitter.
There was a "Copa Porsche 968 CS" in Spain, years '93 and '94. In Germany too, with the factory involved. At least this is what I read on a German forum.

I just wish my cab wasn't quite so low, it would look great on my car. I had the Fitztgerald fiberglass copy on my coupe for about a week before I sold the car and it looked terrific.

Damian, if you ever decide to go for it, I have one with your name on it. For that reason, I like the CS spring setup. Its lower, but not too low and the ride is exact same as factory. I might have clearance issues as well when I install mine. I will let you guys know.

At least the factory front splitter is made of soft PU, meaning it won't simply self-destruct whenever it hits a speed bump contrary to most hard plastic aftermarket units available.
I gave the one I had on my 951 to a friend who owns a 968 and who had destroyed his 968 TRS reproduction splitter at the first speed bump it came into contact with.

I have the fibergalss splitter. I have repaired 4 times (which I anticapated before I installed it). Looks great but probabley not great for a DD. Next time mine breaks I am tossing it in the trash.

Here is a good closeup of the splitter from Carnewal. It has a Porsche part number - 968 505 071 00, but it is not listed in the PET or any other parts resource that I have seen. .
