Default Might be selling my Speed Yellow M030 Coupe

I didn't think the day would come for this but I might have to sell my Speed Yellow M030 coupe.
With recent changes with my work location, I will be using the train to commute. This means I either drive the car to the train station and leave it there for everyone to ding it (spent $900 last year with dent wizard to make it perfect) or I buy a beater for train station and leave the coupe home.
Only problem with option 2 is that I already have a car for weekend drives (turbo) which is whole lot more fun in acceleration with identical handling and braking. So, this would mean I would barely be driving the coupe. After thinking for a while it has dawned upon me that selling the SY M030 coupe might be the only option. It is killing me as I know I will never be able to duplicate that car. Its the only known M030 in Speed Yellow in US. But when comparing it to the turbo, the turbo is much rarer and I would never ever be able to duplicate it as it has a lot of original turbo S/RS parts.
Wish me luck on my quest on selling it. I plan to stay firm on my asking price as its not a financial decision. I will post some picture for any interested parties. I have someone interested who is looking at it right now so they get 1st rights to the car.

Regards.
Raj

Unfortunately, mine will kill me as well if our next Porsche purchase is not a 993 Targa.

Its a long list of items that have been done in the last year.
Just for start, this is what I did within the last 11 months.
New battery
New Starter
Brand new Windshield with less than 100 miles on it.
Fixed clutch
Upgraded to Big reds, new rotors/pads/calipers
New/rebuilt control arms
New castor blks
Injectors were serviced last year
Pinion bearing fixed 4 months back with a new GT racing LSD
All belts/rollers done within last 20K.
Upgraded to newer M030 suspension with only 43K on it (shocks/struts).
Had paintless dent removal guys remove all dings at cost of $900
Seats have less than 25K on it, 8 way pwr with heat
Car is in stock M030 form with Big reds
I give it a solid 9.5/10 exterior and 9/10 interior
Driver side door has been painted, besides that the car has never had any other body or paint work done. The paint matches perfectly.
Its been my daily driver and has never left me stranded and has remained garaged the entire time. I bought it with 74K and now it has 94K. I have stopped drivng it since my recent changes at work. When I did a price appraisal on Edmunds, it came up at approx $18,500 and did not take M030 into account. I am sure you guys know that its as rare as they come.
Before I bought it, Bruce C had all new lifters and variocam put in, plus oil pickup tubes at the tune of approx $3K.
I am asking $20k firm.

Raj, I hate to see that you may be letting this rare gem go. Best of luck as you move forward.

Bruce, you would certainly be a great owner if Raj does let her go. Best of luck convincing your wife! Just sell her on the fact that this machine will outbrake and outhandle the 993 Targa, you know, "safety first, sweetie." It might work! It is worth a shot, at least.

Sorry to hear you must part with it Raj. Best of luck selling. I wish I could go for it, but I already have too many cars as it is as they are all not even in my long sig.

That's one beautiful, eye-turning car...and a lot of pre-emptive work has been done. Dang...and I just bought mine! By the time I get it fixed up...I'll have close to that in it..but it won't have near the upgrades that Raj's great car has. Sounds like a good deal to me.

I hope the car stays in Jersey. It's always wonderful to see a SY 968 Coupe and Cab together.
