you should still be able to get it from the dealer parts dept. there was one recently on eBay too. Sold for something like $20

It is very simple, between the muffler and the tip is an exhaust clamp, just loosen the clamp and you can take of the tip.

Neither of the two OEM tips were chromed-the eariler tips had a nicer, rounded lip, and later styles were straight cut. You can polish either, but it still won't look great. Cargraphic USA in Perth Amboy, NJ, sells a bolt on chromed tip, that is larger in both directions and looks great. I don't know the current price, but it's not cheap-figure a touch over $200, but ask for a Rennlist or PCA discount. If you want to look at one do a search here or on 968.net-there are pictures floating around out there-or you can drive to see mine.

John, is that polished stainless or chromed? I'm pretty sure the stock 'early' tip like yours isn't chromed, but nicely polished steel. I'm also pretty sure that the early more desireable tips like yours are nla-the ones in stock now are the later, darker sharp cut tips. You can polish those up as well, but they aren't as nice ever when done so. (I had one myself that Rimas polished).

To make matters more unclear, the B&B exhaust has a nicely shiny tip, but it's not detacheable. The Cargraphic tip is the only chromed one that is larger and fits the opening better that I've seen.
