Default New to me '93 968 Wimbledon Green Coupe

Hi All! Just wanted to introduce myself as a new owner of this 1993 968 6-Speed Coupe. I bought it in March (2022) from the east coast and now she lives with me in Southern California. VIN *820459 had a production date of March 17, 1993 and an invoice date April 06, 1993. Exterior color B5 Wimbledon Green Met and interior trim Partial Leather Seats Light Grey/Blk. Optional Equipment Heated seats, Advanced Technic Package, and Rim Caps with Porsche Crest. I believe there are 2 previous owners here on Rennlist, one being Matt968 who has posted a lot of great history of the car and been kind to share with me also. The car drives really nice and has about 104,000 miles. It had recent service including timing belt, balance shaft belt, motor mounts, plugs, oil pan gasket, oil and filter. The car has had some paint work from what I can tell but shows really well and is responding well to paint correction and detailing.

So I decided to have some of the leather areas redone in the original Light Grey leather. Work included the seats, center console lid, armrests, e-brake handle and shifter.

We need interior pictures! If I ever own a 968 again, it's going to have to be a unicorn like this one.

So according to Jeff, this car is 1 of 9 968 coupes Porsche made in Wimbledon Green Metallic ... and that paired with Light Grey interior it is 1 of 1. The original seats were free from tears or wear but as you can see became dry and cracked beyond saving in my opinion.

Yeah, you got a great color match. My side bolsters look kind of similar(in the before pictures).
My guys said that to match the Cashmere of my interior would be difficult.

I have a light gray interior car also. I had my leather "restored" and it looked nearly perfect...but it didn't last thru a few trips to the mechanic/painter. Those style seats have much softer leather than the newer 993 style seats. Your redo looks perfect, congrats!
