Default Exclusive build options

I recently viewed a really nice '94 cab (had 718 code...a true '93). It had two “09991” exclusive build options (thank you Jeff and 968 Registry). One was code 13821, the other was, 14991. I know one must be the Porsche crest in the seat.

Anyone (Jeff) know what these codes are?

Another question: The seats, with the crest, did not have the perforated center section. Anyone know why or if that is normal?

I don't have any factory info on those codes. I've been collecting them. I have seen both of those codes (on 1993 968s) and have them both marked as Porsche crest on seat back. If you learn more let me know.

If Jeff doesn't know, no one must not know. By two do you mean they list two numbers after 09991? My blue coupe has two codes after 09991, 13861 and 15801. I think Jeff told me they relate to my seat side piping and the deviated carpet (midnight blue carpet with light gray interior).

So you looking to buy a second 968 Spark, or gonna sell your current car?

Eyeman-

Can you please post some pictures of your deviated carpet?

I think it is important to acknowledge any addictions...I am a 968aholic. Not sure if it qualifies for medical coverage but who knows these days. With a doctors prescription...?

I do have two 968's now. The cobalt cab and a polar silver M030 coupe. I plan on keeping both. If I eat all my vegetables, I think I can, and want to, grow up and be like Jeff with three 968's. My son is graduating HS this year and will be off to college. That means I have an extra spot in the garage. Lol

I have recently traveled around California collecting some 968 parts and looking at 968's for sale. I will be eating some more vegetable and maybe a third 968 Spark is in the future. Would love to find one just like your blue coupe Eyeman, but I think yours is the only one!

Eyeman has posted some pic on this site. I think this one, while not showing deviated carpet, says it all:

I thought the carpet in this car was black when I picked it up. Figured it out and ordered these matching mats from Lloyds.

Sorry, I thought deviated carpet meant something like this:

Love the light and dark contrast.

09991 is the exclusive program option code. You only see that if your car has an X option such as XD4 which is the painted crest center caps.

The 5 digit interior code options DO NOT get you the 09991.

What I know about both the X option codes and the 5 digit interior codes can be found here on the site:
Interior

13861 is seat piping in standard color (black)
15801 is deviated carpet (black)

The amazing thing about deviated carpet is that the standard carpet on that car was the incredibly light, almost white, light grey carpet. I think it would get dirty just looking at it. You see deviated carpet ordered on a few cars to deal with this. I had it on my classic gray/light grey interior cab. The deviated carpet took it from light grey to classic grey. You will also see it on cashmere interior cars as the cashmere carpet is pretty light. Some deviated carpet to black. The craziest one I have seen, someone had a midnight blue car with a light grey/black interior. They ordered the deviated carpet in midnight blue introducing a third color to the interior! I have never seen another one like that.

Thanks for explaining the distinction between the 09991 x code vs. exclusive build code. My pea brain interpreted that these codes where all under the x code 09991 designation.

Spark1. Have you ever heard the saying variety is the spice of life? Make your third 968 a track car and you will have arrived at a spirited bliss.
