My biggest fear was removing the exhaust, It came off very easy, surprisingly. Everything has been sent off, Now I'm just waiting things to get back. and parts from the Porsche dealer to arrive. I decided to use all Porsche dealer parts, My local dealer gives me a deal on parts,
It all started with a simple valve adjustment...lol
THEN....
1. A clutch refresh with a Porsche OE 3.6 turbo pressure plate, Porsche OE Disc, Porsche OE TB, keeping the DMF, just clean t up a little.
2. New Injector blocks and gaskets, they looked good until I pulled the the manifold off, wtf, they were all cracked. Surprising she ran fine. Hmmm
3. I did a little cleaning wasn't to bad, but the out come was great.
4, I'm having the fan and fan shroud blasted and ceramic refinished. Ceracoat
5. Since I'm here, I'm having all the exhaust pieces ceramic coated, including the spider tube and replacing all the hardware with new and gaskets.
6. I sent off all my other hardware to California Van Nuys Plating for re plating in yellow zinc, pulleys, strap, bolt nuts washers,,ext
7. Porsche OE Cap and rotor, and oil and fuel filter. removed the K&N filter. replaced with Porsche OE air filter
8. New Porsche OE Bosch plugs
9. Valve Adjustment, New silicon valve cover gaskets. My first time doing it . Very simple with the engine out and the exhaust out of the way. I used the Kirk tool.
10. Refinishing the wastegate and turbo hot housing in Factory gray ceramic high coating. Installed NEW RUF wastegate spring
11. Having the valve covers glass bead blasted. I used a high temp clear and kept it natural alum
12 Replace the engine carrier with a new one.
13. Having some other pieces powder coated.
14. I'm also did the front suspension, Blasting the L arms and the A arms and replacing ball joints. and having the hardware re plated as well..

The diaphragm looks great, no tears, just a little dirty, From what I can tell the spring looks to be stock, surprising clean, Spring Length = 7.0 inch
Outer diameter = 2.70 inch, Number of effective coils = 5.5, Wire diameter = 0.196 inch. I ordered a RUF 0.9 bar spring. I don't trust the manual boost controller. does any have a RUF spring in their 965. if yes what's your thoughts.

I had the parts coated in CeraKote, Cerakote a ceramic-based finish that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers, and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness. Very popular in the firearms industry. I love the stuff looks amazing.
