My son and I pulled some of the toys out for a spring cleaning and drive. I need new tires on the turbo. Considering switching from PS2's to the Conti Extreme's but haven't decided yet. They offer the 235/295 combo at a more reasonable price.

Just got my car back from Porsche Experience Center last week. Was on display for 8 months.

Glad it is safe at home Mike. Unfortunate that not many saw it with the pandemic. Maybe bring it to the classic event I am helping run at PMP on June 6 or the Bridge in September?

These are the front pieces added to my car at the factory. It was a factory show car, and had the 964 Turbo S small front spoilers and brake vents (which are beautiful and have black screen inserts) installed as part of the package. The carbon fiber looks nice as well, but I am partial to the factory parts.

I do agree I like the factory pieces better and have them installed on my turbo as well but was able to pick up the factory parts 15 years ago. AFAIK they are NLA. Cultwerks sells a perfect copy of these I believe they are being sold through FVD now.

I have the CF ones on my track car to match the CF wing I believe these were made by GT racing but no longer have them on their site, but I prefer the fit and finish of the factory or cult werks one better.

nice ^^^ ...

Took a nice drive on Saturday over the Bay Bridge onto Eastern Shore & out to a event at Classic Porsche Restoration shop in Easton MD. But forgot to even take any pics!!
... funny how our cars are really starting to garner a lot of conversation these days (but not really in a good way).

I had a lot of people come up & talk about their love for,.. and desires to buy one, but that there are none out there in the supply chain.
The other enlightening thing I heard, is that for those who mentioned the pricing of our cars,.. they basically said that once they figured out from their searching, that it was going to take more than $130k,... they immediately went looking for something else.

Oh well. Guess the times of meeting NEW owners of cars like ours,... is in the very distant past.

Sounds like the wrong people looking. If they think a car like a 965 isn't worth $130k what do they move on to? There are cars in that price range but very different experiences IMO. I know of a couple of people who recently joined the club. So there are some cars and some buyers taking the plunge. There are just too few of these around for the number of people I see interested.

I went for a drive yesterday as well but had no time for pictures. It is going to be 70 today so I think I will go for another. I forget how much fun these cars are until I drive them again.

I don't think their message to me was that my 965 was NOT worth $130k,... it was that beyond that price point there are a LOT of other car choices (incl outside of Porsche too) which highlights more options to choose from. But you are saying that there are indeed driver 965's out there to purchase..... which is an interesting counter to the comments I received. One guy said the only 965's he's been seeing lately have been on BaT, and that the bidding pushes him right out (I have no idea if that meant primarily 3.6's or what, but he did specifically say he wanted a lower priced 3.3). I have not paid attention to those for sale out there. How many are on the market now? ... driver quality 3.3's for reasonable prices???

To your comment about them being the "wrong people looking",.... I guess you are proving the point,... meaning that those people who want a nice driver quality 3.3 for a decent price, and just NOT willing to pay $130k or more,.. so that makes them the wrong buyer. Ok, I guess I can get on board with that. But I kinda see it on the flip side - They are the right people,... just not willing to pay the wrong price (if I put myself in their shoes).

Oh well,.... sorry I am not posting pics in this thread (don't have any new ones),... but if not here, I guess this conversation would be in the "Market" thread for 965's.
