Default Real deal....how much to sell your car?

Hi all,

Someone recently started a thread trying to contact me and since then
I have been speaking to several people. A few were actually friends of
one guy. But others seem to surface and to be honest a few I called,
not to sell but to get an idea of what the interest still is in this car.

I have always said I would not sell this car......and I still feel this way.

I guess for me it's not what you can get........It's what it's worth.

But no matter what the dollar amount , once it's gone ............well.

And now here's some recent pics......because I know it"s always requested here

I guess i should have pharased it .....what's it worth to you.

We all know what the approximate dollar value is, based on recent sales..etc.
And the debate about how much some people ask.....and what they get.

But what is the amount to really let it go............I have had to contemplate this
recently, and I think that what it's worth to me is not what other people are
interested in it for, and that emotional number is the one I'm talking about.

Mike, sure you could probably get a premium from someone, then be stuck with a wadge of cash trying find a car that fills the hole. I think if you sell this car it will be the one you will always be tying to explain to the grand kids "just exactly why did you sell it Grandpa"?
Cars are either a form of transport or a purley emotional thing that unless you are one of the aflicted on this forum you'll never fully understand

Maverick,

You hit the nail squarely.......My grandson lives a mile from me and is here 6 days a week
and all I hear is " pop, when are we going out in that Porsche "

We do alot together, boats ,auto races, motorcycles ( I recently bought a Goldwing so I
could put him on the back safely. ).

I'm not loaded up with cash like some of these guys, but don't need to sell this car to get
something else, and thats what I've been thinking lately.

Don't ever sell it!Just my opinion!Money isn't everything. If you are connected with your car and you sell it ,some day you will regret it,you might be able to find one close but the smells and different characteristics of your car won't be the same.Thats how I am with mine, people can't and won't ever understand the bond or love i have with my porsche,Consider your self very lucky. And if you don't have these feelings for the car ,you can sell it to me!!!Have a good one!

Fantastic car and it would be worth a premium to me as well. The story behind it is great and that movie is 100% the reason I have one now. I vowed to get one some day after that opening scene...and you have the ONE.

However, if someone offered me double the going price of a 3.6, I'd part with it. Unless I was made of money, which I am not.

I'd wait until I found the perfect replacement...like that cobalt 3.6 for sale a while back and invest the rest of the money elsewhere.

Cheers.

Man Mike that is one sweet car! All I can tell you is get a premium for that mug, and don't let anyone try to lowball you (like some of the **** collectors here in the states).

$350K would be my magical number....
(for that price, you'd be able to replace the "I owned one of the Bad Boy Turbo" story, with
"You won't believe what someone paid for my Bad Boy Turbo" story....

Looks great Mike. I can tell that you have spent a lot of time perfecting the car. It looks very well cared for. Don't sell it!!

Mike,

Everything has a price. What's yours? Is the question. At what point does the offer outweigh your attachment to the car. I am not a good guage on that since I do not get attached to metal. Everything is always for sale. Anyway, the car came out amazing. Jerry would be proud!!
