965 chassis: driving experience
#61
I'm jumping in on this late (Work is clearly getting in the way of LIFE!). Anyway, I've got a 964 Turbo and a 996 Turbo. I drive them often and back to back on the same roads.
The 964/965 Turbo is antiquated. There's no getting around the fact that its a 12-15 years old design . It is stiffer riding and more tiring on long trips and as has been mentioned, it can be a handful. But Oh! my G** when that single Turbo kicks in, it's the most fun you can have with your pants on!
I love both my 4 wheeled toys, but you might have to pry my hands off the 92 964 Turbo when I die.

i have the HR greens on my to day and it is way to soft for track events ithink
how much is the difference in handling between HR green and HR reds?
is the oem shocks enough to this red springs to work correct
or should it be better with some billstain shocks or adjusteble koni
or shold i just go for a coilover kit like pss9 or Jic

spj,
I don't think standard shocks are good at all (especially not on 3.3) even with sports springs. Everyone says Bilsteins are a good setup. I have coilovers, I think H&R.
