This is no ordinary 3.6 (if indeed it is still a 3.6!). Its appeared in various mags, specially built by 'Joe' who sometimes posts here.

Seriously power and speed as well

The video says "twin turbo 780 rwhp"

Sounds like straight through i.e. completely bypassed to me....

Too snap crackly pop at idle but sounds great when he starts to give it some gas, its awsome but i think a little too much for the street. you should just post a sign on the car with a blow horn that sais "Hey im speeding come give me a ticket"

What mods besides exhaust? Particularly interested to know which cams and EFI (no way CIS can handle such cams I think)

As I said it has been featured in some magazines. can't find the articles, someone will be along soon.
Pretty sure this is not just a 'modified car' its seriously custom built.

Sweet! It sounds like my buddy's pro-mod mustang. Has to have some cam work done to it as well, that thing was "hittin' a lick".

This car was initially built by the well known racer Eddie Bello who still holds the record for the fastest Porsche at 9.17sec 1/4 mile.

Its not a factory flatnose but converted.

Twin turbo straight pipes- thats why you can hear those babes spool up....

My new engine should be same!

if thats joe's car that an awesome quarter mile time. I somehow linked to the drag times quite a while back and came across this guy.
I sent him an email explaining that I too had a 3.6 turbo, was thinking of having tuning work done but not as extreme and certainly did not want to gut the interior and go the lightweight race car route. He was very helpful. The guy to talk too is a chap called Micke Svens in Sweden. This is his website http://www.spezialmotorer.com/ I've spoken to Micke a few times and Joe swears by his engine work. He can build you a flat fan engine with a 1000bhp of reliable horsepower if you want but its going to set you back £80,000. 700bhp is the max without going flat fan and is considerably less money. The reality is that although I have a 3.6 the far better choice of engine to tune is the 3.3. Apparently the very last of the 3.3 Turbo 11's have the best engines. I cannot remember exactly why but something to do with the barrels.
I am still undecided what to do. On one hand I have a reasonably stock 3.6 turbo with a few mods that makes it a nippy car. The fact that it is one of the 42 UK supplied original cars makes it sort of valueable and I am reluctant to start messing around with it. I've just sold my W140 series Brabus SV12 and for those of you that would have no idea about what this is it is a 2250kg S class Merc with a 7.3 litre Brabus V12 engine and 586bhp. In truth it would anialate the Turbo but it is no where near as rewarding or as fun to drive. I still am toying with the idea of buying a late 3.3 turbo 11 and letting Micke play with it. But as I guess many of you have already been there it is a slippery slope. The gearbox will struggle to handle the power, the tyres will struggle for grip unless you are on the racetrack using slicks and it goes on and on. I guess in reality it is a case of how fast do you want to go.
I have driven the Bugatti Veyron which to date is the most unbelievable piece of kit imaginable. I take my hat off to a company that can build a car that can do 0-300kph in 16.7 seconds yet I would be more than happy to let the missus drive. (she ain't driving the 3.6 thats for sure).
